Newbie from Serbia: Looking for the best AIO board & parts sourcing for a 220 ha farm

Hi everyone,

First of all, I want to apologize if this has been discussed many times before. I tried searching through the forum, but as a beginner, the sheer amount of information is a bit overwhelming, and I want to make sure I don’t make any costly mistakes.

A little bit about me: I am a 16-year-old IT high school student from Serbia. My family and I farm around 220 hectares, and we are looking to build our first DIY AgOpenGPS autosteer system for our main tractor (YTO 1204). Since we manage a decent amount of land, we really need the centimeter-level RTK precision to cut down on overlaps and input costs. I am comfortable with electronics and basic coding, so I want to assemble everything myself.

Since I am on a budget and shipping/customs fees to the Balkans can be crazy, I would love to get your advice on a few things:

  1. Which AIO (All-In-One) board is the best choice for a beginner right now? I am looking for something stable, preferably a micro or standard v2/v4 board that can easily house a Teensy 4.1 and a simpleRTK2B F9P receiver.
  2. Where is the best/cheapest place to source parts for someone living in Serbia? Are there reliable European or AliExpress vendors you recommend for the steering motor (Phidgets or similar), the F9P, and the AIO PCB components to avoid massive customs duties?
  3. What is a realistic total cost estimate for the hardware (excluding the Windows tablet) if I assemble and wire everything myself?

I would highly appreciate any links, component lists, or build threads that could point me in the right direction.

Thank you all in advance for your time and help!

Best regards,

Milos

Use the latest board as delboy says and an f9p. You will have to most help with that setup. Phidgets is the motor with the most support and 3d files but it is from Canada. People have used others though. It’s hard to say a price since it depends a lot on where you get parts from and how you set it up and what tools and supplies you have already but I would say 800 usd should cover it.

This is an older version of the all in one but the components and general layout is the same.

I suggest to visit Navisklep . Have bought few boards and tablets before and always had positive experience. 3D printer would come handy

Pozdrav

Imam ja zalemljeno sve, samo poslazi komponente, imam i gotovu kutiju za nju ako treba jedna imam gotov komplet. A imas elektromotorice kod nas nabaviti u SAH electronics. Pozdrav!

We have all the components you need, from goldpins to complete kits, and if you don’t see something in the store, you’ll probably find that we have it in stock after sending us an email :stuck_out_tongue:

Even if you don’t want to buy the entire starter kit from us, check the description, because it lists all the elements that make up the ready-made AIO V4.5 controller.
