Project : designing an all-in-one compact PCB for AOG - what do you need?

@Aortner is there any release date / excpected costs for this yet?

Prototype is finished this week - then I know moreā€¦

@GoRoNb Thanks for the documents. It looks doable, and would be useful for people with a USB C compatible device. I think most people today donā€™t have such device in the cab though (itā€™s not my case at least). So USB C capability would have to come in addition to a standard DCDC regulator on the PCB, not replace it.
I also have another major concern : on the connector there are only 30 pins available, which is not much for all this PCB has to do. Using USB C would consume two more pins, for the CC lines. The pins allocation is not final yet, but for sure there wonā€™t be any extra.
It also raises the question of signal integrity through a non standard USB connector. I might have to do some eye-diagram measurements to make sure itā€™s not too altered, especially at Full Speed.

@Aortner can you keep us updated about how USB behaves through Wago connectors ? Also, will you make your design available and open source ? I might be interested in duplicating your USB hub
