Teensy overheated ?

The teensey on my AGOboard seems to be dead. When I power on the card, it starts to boot for a few seconds and then everything shuts down.
If I plug it in by itself via USB (removed from the board), the red LED next to the USB port flashes twice. According to the documentation : 2 Blinks = NXP JTAG Not Responding.
The button on the teensy has no effect.

The card worked perfectly for 2 days. Then it remained powered on in the tractor for several weeks. (My wife did not follow my instruction to open the battery disconnect switch when the tractor was not in use) And this morning when I connected the tablet, there was no communication. The power supply section of my board is still fully functional (UM982 and BNO fully fonctionnal)

Can heat cause the death of the teensy?

Though I don’t know too much about the Teensey and this comment probably won’t be 100 percent helpful, I remember one thing I was told back in the day from a teacher in my electronics class in school. That would be usually everything comes with an initial warranty because either components are going to fail in the first 30 days due to a manufacture defect or they will last 10 years without an issue until the lifespan is met.

To me I would most likely look at this as a defect and a component on the board has failed since it is so new. I don’t know enough about the lights to help you unfortunately but it sounds like it might just need to be replaced. I don’t think keeping it on for long periods of time would hurt anything though.

could try to hold reset button for 15 seconds to do a factory reset.

Now my Teensy is working again without me doing anything… I think I’ll buy a new one; this one seems defective.
