V5.1.4 Release

@F380 You can use pitch if you want, does not affect heading. Since you can make the imu module separate and on its own in a small enclosure in the best possible place in the tractor, there was no need for setting the axis anymore.

Do you have an imu in your steer module? Where is the location of the steer module in your tractor?

Is it still possible to use a dog2 for roll ? If so where do I hook it in if ads can only take the wheel angle sensor now? Do I need to buy a BNO08x? If so Where do I find one? I donā€™t see any on amazon and Adafruit is out of stock :S

No, you need BNO08x (Adafruit, Sparkfun or chinese) or CMPS14.

Successfully planted 40 acres of soybeans with contour mode yesterday! V5 is great, thanks everybody!

U-turn is very lazy in PP- I forgot to look but just by estimating I would say its maybe only 50% of max pwm. Once it exits u-turn the motor picks right back up to max. I tried pegging out the u-turn gain but it had no effect. Stanley U-turn performs normally. Does anyone else have this issue? PP U-turn used to perform much better for me than Stanley when using a smaller implement.

Actually the uturn isnā€™t a gain but a distance multiplier - so setting to 0.7 makes it respond faster then 1.0

What is your PP lookahead distance set to?

:man_facepalming: Maybe thatā€™s my problemā€¦ I try lowering the gain to see it that helpsā€¦ Lookahead is set to 2.

@BrianTee,

Just put this on your list for after fieldwork. Iā€™ll only need 1 setup until later this summer, so no hurry.

Iā€™m either missing out on how to save vehicle settings or thereā€™s a glitch. I changed the units from metric to imperial and then changed the #'s on the vehicles, tools, etc. Here is maybe where Iā€™m missing out - I donā€™t see any save option. I have 3 different units setup. After Iā€™m done setting these up I exit with the green arrow on the lower right.

If I go back to load one of the vehicles it reverts to metric, splashes the screen asking if autosteer is connected and Iā€™m back out of setup area. I go back in and the chosen vehicle is now the active one but the values I entered are changed. Maybe back to metric?? I didnā€™t check that.

Thanks

Edit: I downloaded the latest early this AM. V5.1.2

I tried saving a metric and imperial setting most of the settings to 100 and save. Loads from imperial vehicle to the saved metric to imperial, no problems - at least i canā€™t find a problem.

Can someone else confirm?

You should do your settings - and then save vehicle? According to your list of actions, you save the vehicle, then adjust everything. You need to save your settings (vehicle) after you made all the changes.

You can also use ā€œSave Asā€ to write over the initial saved vehicle.

Yes Iā€™m sure thatā€™s the problem. It took me a little to figure that out as well. @Ray_Jorgensen Just make sure you select the save, or save as button AFTER you change your settings, NOT the little green arrow in the bottom right corner

Think about it this way. You create an Excel document and save it. Then you type your numbers in. Then exit without saving.

Then you open up you Excel document - and its emptyā€¦

I suppose it should ask if you want to save changes - but then AOG would need to keep track of what you did. So if you make changes and want it saved in the vehicle - save it. Or if you are loading another vehicle, be sure to save your current vehicle.

I donā€™t think it needs to be different Brian, it just took me a few minutes to figure out how it all works. Once I got it in my head, I really like how it set up and have no problems with it. itā€™s great!

I donā€™t know if it would be a pleasure. For those who are beginners, suggestions on request could be activated in the configuration menu: the first time the key is pressed, the hint at the second execution of the command would be displayed.

Yep the save afterward did it. It just seemed weird to have to come back to settings to do the save. All is well now that I know the rules.

I think once documentation is done it could save the confusion.

Brian, would it be painful to make the left, right, offset for the vehicle in imperial have .5 inch adjustments, rather than 1 inch ? My tractor is off 1 inch, and if I adjust, then itā€™s off 1 inch the other way. Thought about adjusting it Iā€™m metric then switching back, but didnā€™t know if that would work. Thanks
