Is it possible to share the board files in an Easy EDA friendly format without me having to create an Aisler account?
Some machines have a parameter to silence missing SSU. It’s basically to tell the tractor that autosteer is installed or not. Some machines don’t care at all that the SSU is missing.
I have them in Fritzing, or I can export to RS-274X
Are there any conflicts leaving the SSU connected at the same time as an AOG steer module? I think it should be fine reading the sensors/buttons but controlling the valve might be a problem? Some investigative work might be in order.
Altium, Eagle and KiCAD are the only other supported file formats in EasyEDA.
Thank for you still for sharing the boards, at the very least they help with connecting to the JD harness without leaving the cab. Do you know anyone with available stock for one of the R series boards (for S670)?
A gerber should be enough to order the PCB?
I wouldn’t even try that.
I have 1 here I would be more than happy to send you. It has wires and plug, but plug is only for DTM13-12PA-12PB-R008 I can remove and you would have to add plug for your AOG steering controller. The adapter looks like it has been used already.
S670 is actually 30 series plug. Beware SSU is outside cab below steering orbitol valve.
Yes. They are a bit of a pain, some fabbers complain, but most will accept them.
I sent you a private message
Could you use the joystick button to activate and deactivate in AOG?
Could you explain how to do it?
Auto (button)?
You’d have to modify the handle and run wires right to the button or switch. There’s no simple CAN message that’s emitted, unfortunately.
Did you find the Canbus message for the rest of the buttons? Would the autosteer button be a different PGN?
There are messages associated with the button, but it’s not so simple as a single PGN. The ECUs in the armrest, transmission, and steering controller all work together with autotrac. The armrest controller will not issue a message unless dialog with the other controllers tells it the button can be activated. Exactly how this is done I don’t know. There are a lot of messages that fly back and forth between these controllers. It’s way over-engineered. You’d think the button would just emit a broadcast PGN every time it’s pressed and autotrac can act on it or ignore it depending on what the other controllers say. But no it can’t be that simple.
Is that only the GPS button or also buttons 1-3 resume buttons?
Do you know where the SSU would be on a 2019 6175R? Friend has one, and he can’t find it.
I’m referring to the autosteer engage button. The resume buttons do a lot more than just engage autosteer.
Our older combines don’t have the dedicated GPS button, only the auto header height buttons (two of which also engaged GPS) so if they were always broadcasting without a complicated handshake I would consider using them.
Nothing Deere does is straight forward and simple!
