AIO 4.5 not powering components..

Have AIO 4.5 standard boards, when I plugged it into the combine the only light that lit up on the entire board is the green light in the attached photo. I thought maybe I had a power or wire issue so I tried it on my bench top power supply with the same result across two boards. Anyone ran into this issue?

Your 2 voltage regulators are missing. They located just behind where your cytron is to the side

After mounting those voltage regulators , please do the recommended voltage test Without all the expensive things on the pcb.

Yes, I figured that out before the post got approved but I couldn’t delete it then lol. Didn’t think of that since I bought them assembled, I don’t remember those parts being out of stock so I don’t know why they were included. Just test voltage to the test holes on the bottom of the board?

Tested voltage and I’ve got 10v on the 5v pins… The regulators are supposed to step anywhere from 8-36v down to 5… I misread the pinout for them. Turn them around and I should be good.

No reason for testing is they sometimes are turned 180 degrees. Or wrong regulators with different leg layout.
Oh you got it already

Yes but unfortunately I had already plugged it in very briefly with the components installed before I tested and flipped the regulators around… Everything lights up but only if I unplug and reinstall the teensy… Everything shows up green in Aog but the light on the teensy is flashing constantly. Guessing I burned something up on the teensy? I’ve got correct voltage everywhere now.

Teensy flashing orange is good.
All green in agio is good

Ok. Having to unseat and reseat the teensy to get it and the bno to light up is puzzling me though. This is all I have if I just power it up. Now I can’t even get the teensy and bno to reliably come to life even with seating and unseating it.

I must have burned something up on the Teensy. I pulled it off and plugged it into my computer and it won’t recognize that anything is being plugged in or light up at all.

Tbh you’re lucky its only the teensy you’re goosed
If its not recognised by usb in com port it could be knackered. Is the little black microcontroller chip getting really hot (located near the usb plug) when its plugged into usb?
You could try a reset by holding down the white button then plugging it in then releasing the button :crossed_fingers:

Teensy will not blink orange and will not send anything to AOG (no bno) unless F9P has good antenna reception (antenna is outside)

The bno won’t even power up if the teensy doesn’t have GPS? This is all in a tin building currently so I guarantee that it’s not seeing any GPS.

Nothing is getting hot that I can feel, but resetting didn’t do anything either. If the fried teensy is the only thing I have to pay for my stupid tax I’ll consider myself lucky! New teensy on the board and everything powers up as intended it appears!

Without the teensy you wont be getting much communication
If its not recognised on usb its probably goosed. Better that than the f9p🫣
Glad your sorted.
Put it down to experience, you wont be the last
There is a useful guide on where to test voltages before adding components to avoid this happening :+1:

It seems to be ok, I’m getting rtk and everything is green in AIO!

Ok so everything in AIO is green, I get heading and roll and response from my wheel angle sensor, but I cannot get the steer indicator to turn green and actually steer. It’s red so according to the wiki that means it knows it has a steer board connected but steering isn’t enabled? Is there somewhere else I’m forgetting to enable steering? I’ve enabled lines, have one selected and hit the auto steer button, that’s all I remembered having to do.

On a possibly related note, the three main indicator LEDs on the board, the power/eth turned green but GPS/rtk and AS-ACT are still red..

If you try to enable normal autosteer, then you must drive faster than your set minimum speed, else it can’t stay on.
In expanded steer window you can use the “drive”. Function to test steering, without any speed.
Or try to set autosteer button to none, and use the screen to enable autosteer.

Ok, I’ll check on my min speed, I forgot about that. I did change the autosteer button to none already. Are two of the three indicator lights on the board itself being red something I need to be concerned about or is that normal? I just assumed they should all turn green when things were functioning correctly.

After digging through the wiki more I found what the lights are supposed to be doing if everything is working. But in some other posts it sounds like the LEDs on these boards don’t work quite right? I do have GPS and RTK but that light is staying red instead of green as indicated in the wiki.
