Case IH Puma 230, autosteer ready

I have connected everything, but not the pin Press sensor signal, I don’t understand what is it?
Pin 19 29 39
Can you explain me?

It is simply an analog sensor that measures the pressure in orbitrol that is created by moving the steering wheel. The connection is similar to WAS connection, except it is 5V for the pressure sensor.

Pin 29 is 5V
Pin 39 is ground
Pin 19 is 0-5V analog signal for arduino.

So basically what the sensor does is that it measures wheter you try to turn the steering wheel and how strongly you turn it. It does not matter wheter automated is engaged or not.

Nice thing about it being analog is that you can adjust the sensitivity (the steering force required) to switch auto steer off.

I’v done it with that little transistor and potentiometer thing for adjustment and connected it to remote pin in the pcb.
I do not recommend this as it is not the best way of doing it anymore.

What you should do is to connect the signal directly to arduino and use the build-in feature of AOG to adjust the sensitivity for auto steer disengagement.
Unfortunately, I’m not fully familiar with this connection as I don’t have it (but I will update to this setup). Maybe @Hansdampf can confirm the connection as he writes about it in his earlier post:

Edit:
There’s an earlyer discussion about this on larsvest topic

Ok. I understand.
I don’t need to connect every pin with my pcb. Only A0 with aog 5.2.
I don’t know why but i have connected every other pins and autoguidance don’t work.
I will tell you my connections pins.
Is there something to configure? In AFS monitor? Or fuse or relay?

You do need to connect the 5V and ground for pressure sensor.

Does the system do anything? Is the arrow/status icon green in your AOG display when autosteer is on?

Yes. Aog works.
Everything green.

I have tested my connections with multimeter.
3168, 12v output ok (AOG on or off OK)
Cytron output to 3163 or 3165 ok.
I take 12v from 5200.
Gnd connected to 1, 30, 39, 40
3160 to arduino A0

Was ok but not with 716. I take it directly near the motor.

But the wheels don’t move :sob:

The only thing, that isnot connected is 5v pin29.
But i don’t need with aog 5.2.
No?

And 716.6 isnot connected.

You probably don’t need to connect 716.6.
But you need to supply the pressure sensor with 5 V on pin 29.
Have you tractor autosteer on? (pressed in where the steering wheel sign are! If not on then the security relays do not connect 3163 and 3165 all the way to the valve.)

Ok.
We need to activate something in AFS monitor?

Don’t know. Our T6 175 don’t have a afs monitor. We did not change anything in tractor computers.

Is your isolation Valve getting 12V, because otherwise the left and right valve doesn’t work.

I will check

I do have the monitor and there should not be a need for any changes in there.

Your problem must be elsewhere. Double check you get voltage to your valves when autosteer is engaged.

Also make sure you drive faster than minimum speed.
Or you must use the “drive” function in steer settings. Else AOG do not activate output to relay for isolation/dump valve.

A bit a different question, would you share the Stl Files from the 3d Printed Part, which holds the 40pin Connector in the Box?

I updated the first post to include STL and OBJ files for printed parts.

Hello dear sirs

I have checked with a multimeter directly on the solenoids.
12v is correctly receive by activation dump
Gnd is correctly receive by left and right.
But 12v is not receive by left and right, and correctly send.
I don’t know why.

Update.
I didn’t connect pin 6 remote engage… I have to connect it? If yes, where?
I didn’t connect pin 3 also…? I have to do?

Update
It is ok, it is working now!
The button in the right colon was disconnected!
:+1::sweat_smile:

Greetings gents! I’ve read this whole thread several times and plan to implement it on our T7 New Holland, one small detail I’m not understanding is what the cytron board does in the system when it’s using the hydraulic system to steer? Everything (nearly!) else is starting to make sense but I’m sure I’ll have 100 more questions in future, thanks!

Hello, congratulations on this installation, it’s very clean!
Two questions :
How and where did you place the F9P on your assembly?
How do you reconnect the usb cable from the 40-pin socket to connect it to the tablet?
good day from France

Hello,
The valves are in 12V, the cytron is necessary

Ah yes! That didn’t click with me from reading, thank you!
