AOG Autosteer Dual GPS PCB

You can also try MTZ8302 code. He has good configurations on github

I am using a phone as a wifi connection and connect to my base station via rtk2go which I believe is working. I tried something. I reset the receivers to default configuration and then worked up from that changing one thing at a time and rebooting up the board each time to see which setting was the problem. When I select nav relposned in messages for the left receiver and power up the board it ceases to connect with agio, when I unselect and boot it up again it connects to agioā€¦?

these two files work for me without any change

You would know if your Base is working by asking info on rtk2go here.

Just type your basestation name after the = (and remember to type correct Capitals and small letters)

Thank you. I donā€™t think that corrections are the problem right now though. What are the requirements for the gps module to connect to agio? I am wondering because Agio will connect when you use the board as a single receiver setup but when you change the messages for the receivers so they will function as dual, then Agio will not connect. Why is this? I have tried all different kinds of configurations.

I donā€™t know. You are sure you are loading configurations on the correct module. Everything is sent over uart1 except the rtcm3 messages from the right module to the left. They are on uart2. Turn your messageout messages on in Uart1 and usb, then you can look at them on the serial monitor in the arduino program. With the right module connected to USB, you should have PAOGI messages. Some of the more educated guys can look at those messages and make sure nothing is missing. Once you have that, the Teensy will pass that to agio.
It is pretty simple, but can be frustrating when your doing it the first time.
Edit
After you have everything loaded correctly, let it set in open sky for several minutes and watch the ā€œno rtkā€ LED on the left module. If it doesnt go off, you wonā€™t ever have GPS to AgIO. When it goes off, you should have GPS to agopen almost immediately.

Thankyou very much. I think a very dumb and simple mistake was the culprit. My antennas did not have a view of the sky even though they were still bringing up a few satellites. So ya, now my left receiver rtk light is off and agio is connected but agopengps is still saying lost rtk. Iā€™m guessing because the right antenna doesnā€™t have an rtk fix or what?

Thatā€™s correct. You can turn the ā€œLost RTKā€ off in the AgOpen settings until you get corrections to the right module.

hello, I have set up basic dual position on the right receiver. I activated navpvt uart1 and USB as message output.

I installed basic dual heading on the left receiver. I activated uart2 from message output nav posned.

I made an RTK connection, but I couldnā€™t run the balance GPS on this scale. It worked for a short time but didnā€™t continue

Use the finished configs for the F9P. Do not change anything in the configs. See the link to github 6 posts above this one

I am uploading the above code. no changes were made. compass did not work. tractor goes wrong on the screen. well i load position to the right module. I also load heading to the left module. Am I uploading the codes to the right place? agopengps didnā€™t see it at all when i did a reverse install

What are the pads on the board labeled dir1 and pwm2 for? Are they for selecting/jumping for wether you are using the md13s or a danfoss?

Yes, ,

Hello. IMU works fine. I want to try with a dual antenna. What is the preferred distance between the antennas?

The further apart the antennas are, the more accurately roll can be calculated. Mount the antennas as far apart as practically possible.

Thank you. And the distance between the antennas in the code to set? Is 1.5 meters ok?

1.5 is plenty. Antenna distance is calculated in the code from their gps postistion. No setting anymore.

Thanks for the replies, got it. I will try.

Hi all. I have a problem with this setup:

  • ā€œGPS fixā€ LEDs flash slowly (OK)
  • ā€œNo RTKā€ LEDs off (OK)
  • xbee LEDs flash quickly (not normal I think)
  • position OK in AOG
  • heading not working in AOG

Do you have a possible solution? thanks!

While it should work as dual from the antenna settings section, mine also works as a fix. when i get binary it doesnā€™t work, when i fix it works
